Students will use a Double Bubble Map to compare and contrast the river valley civilizations in Chapter 2 Sections 1-4.
Tuesday August 30, 2016:
Students will read "Why do we need laws? page 28 and answer the questions.
Students will define terms and names in Chapter 2.
Notes over Hammurabi's Code.
Wednesday August 31, 2016:
History in Depth page 39, answer questions.
Students will take notes over Egypt.
Use computers if time permits to look at Surgeons, Papyrus Growers, pet cemetaries, Royal Dogs in Egypt.
Thursday, September 1, 2016:
Geography Skills, page 45, answer questions.
Science and Technology Page 47, answer questions
Notes over Indus River Civilizations
Friday September 2, 2106:
Geography Skills page 51, answer questions
Read the Primary Source on page 54, explain : Mandate of Heaven

Monday August 22, 2016:
Students welcomed to class, expectations of the class explained to students and students instructed to get High School Management Plan copied and signed by parent/guardian and student for a grade of 100.
Tuesday, August 23, 2016:
Students instructed to copy Unit 1 Vocabulary and define in their spiral notebook. Vocabulary and definitions on the board for students to copy.
Wednesday August 24-26, 2016:
Students will define the Chapter 1 Vocabulary, look up the following hominids: Australopithecines, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Neanderthal, and Cro-Magnon.
Students will also create a Cause and Effect Map over the Neolithic Revolution.
Students will also create a Bubble Map over the characteristics of a Civilization and list/described the different River Valley Civilizations found in Mesopotamia and Indus River Valley.
Students will also complete and turn into the teacher by Friday Worksheet over Chapter 1.
